Staff Richard Ondrovich, CPA, established Richard A. Ondrovich, CPA in 1981.  In the late 1990's the name of the firm was changed to Ondrovich and Associates, P.C.  He earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from St. Joseph College in 1966.  He became a Certified Public Accountant in January of 1974 and is a member in good standing with both the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He currently a member of and has served as the past president of both the Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Portage Rotary Club.  He is also a member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).  Before establishing the firm, he was employed with James D Christy & Co, CPA in Valparaiso for 3 years.  Prior to that he was employed with the US Treasury Department/Internal Revenue Service for 10 years as a Superviory Revenue Agent.   David M. Ondrovich, CPA, joined the firm in 1998, while studying accounting at Purdue University North Central.  He began as a part-time staff accountant assisting members of the full-time staff, learning the various skills and competencies of the public accounting profession on the job and in the classroom simultaneously.  He earned his Associate of Science in Accounting on May 5, 2000 and his Bachelors of Liberal Studies emphasis in Accounting on July 27, 2001.  Upon successful completion of the Certified Public Accountant's exam and approval of the Indiana State Board of Accountancy, he was awarded the designation of C.P.A. on April 27, 2006.  He is a currently a member in good standing with both the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).  He is currently seeking to earn the designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner to help bolster the public's confidence in the accounting and finance professions and provide clients with ever improving services in the area of internal control.  He currently is a member of and served as past Treasurer of the Portage Kiwanis Club.    Lynn H. Geer, CPA, joined the firm in December of 2005 as a staff accountant.  In addition to working at Ondrovich and Associates, she is a partner at Geer in the Works, and has worked at TradeWinds Rehabilitation Center, Accounting Clerk; Davenport College, Director of Admissions; National Bank, Accounting Control Department; and Norrell Temporary Services.   She earned an Associates Degree in Accounting & Computer Programming from Michiana College of Commerce, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration & Accounting from Bethel College as well as her Masters Degree in Ministries from Bethel College. Lynn received her CPA upon completion of the Indiana State exam in April of 2009.

Kathy Ton, Senior Accountant, joined the firm in June of 1988 as the receptionist and part-time bookkeeper.  In 1990, she took on the role as a staff accountant where she has has the opportunity to assist in the implementation of programs and training staff.  She graduated from Purdue University North Central with a Bachelors degree in science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She continues to pursue courses in accounting, taxation and business fields.  Her ultimate goal is to complete the hours she needs in order to take the CPA exam.   Marilyn Ondrovich, Office Manager, joined the firm in 1990.  Before joining the firm, Marilyn worked in the Banking Industry and the Court System.  She is in charge of the administration of the office as well as the reception area.   Sherry Ondrovich, Human Resources and Marketing Director, joined the firm in November of 2007.  She earned an Associate of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of  Liberal Studies  emphasis in Business both from Purdue University North Central.  Prior to coming to Ondrovich and Associates she was employed with Porter County Aging and Community Services as the Human Resources Director and Compliancy Officer; Culver Community Youth Center, Executive Director; the Valparaiso Family YMCA, Program Director; and Opportunity Enterprises, Fund Development Assistant and Employment Consultant.  She is a member of the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and past member of the Culver Kiwanis Club.  She has also been active in volunteering with Porter County  and Indiana Special Olympics and the American Red Cross.    Shelina Howard joined the firm in December 0f 2008.  She graduated from Purdue University North Central in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting in. She continues to pursue courses in accounting, taxation and business fields to complete her Masters degree in business administration.  Her ultimate goal is to finish her Masters in business administration and take the CPA exam.   Maria joined the firm in November 2008.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with minors in marketing and accounting from Indiana University .  She earned her MBA with concentrations in human resources and marketing from Indiana University Northwest.  Before coming to Ondrovich & Associates PC worked at Falk-PLI Engineering & Surveying as a Controller for approximately 2 years.   Darla Bayliss joined the firm in December of 2009.  She has over thirteen years experience in human relations, administration, accounts receivable and payable, general bookkeeping and processing payroll.  Before joining Ondrovich & Associates, Darla worked for a market research firm, an attorney’s office, and most recently in the construction fields for excavating, drywall and landscaping companies.  She is currently enrolled in college and obtaining her Associates of Science in Accounting degree, and is looking forward to her graduation in September of 2010.
